Church of God in Christ - Company Message
About Us
The History of the House of Prayer church begins with the vision of Elder Tony Shomari Marshall. The vision was to build for God and His people, a church like no other. To organize a church with sound Biblical Teaching and true, authentic Spirit Filled Worship.

Bishop William Rimson, Founder of Greater Love Tabernacle COGIC
Pastor and Sister Marshall were both raised under the leadership of Bishop William Rimson. Tony entered the Gospel Ministry preaching his first sermon, “Deliverance is on the Way”, at Greater Love Tabernacle on August 11, 1991 while only 17 years old, under the leadership of BIshop Clifford Dunlap.

Dr. Marshall has spent several years, as a young man, evangelizing and serving on the pastoral board of several churches throughout the mid-west. He served as the youth Pastor of Prayer Garden COGIC in North Chicago, Illinois for five years while in Seminary, under the leadership of Adminstrative Assistant Charles Taylor. He has preached and ministered throughout the United States reaching around the world as far as Johannesburg, South Africa.
For the past 16 years the House of Prayer has been blessed to engage in several ministries including: community feeding and clothing, nursing home ministry, spiritual advising and counseling, seminars, ministerial developpment workshops, women’s and men’s ministry, youth ministry,  hospital ministry and prison ministry. Over the years thousands of people have been blessed by Dr. Marshall's preaching, teaching and writing. The House of Prayer Institutional COGIC is affiliated with the
Michigan Northwestern Harvest Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Michigan under the leadership of Bishop Rance Lee Allen. To God Be the Glory.
